Anyone scrolling Facebook in Michigan over the past week may have noticed ads attacking a new energy bill in the statehouse.
The proposed legislation would allow more people to put solar panels on their homes or businesses. It gets rid of a cap limiting how many solar installations can connect to the grid.
One of the ads reads, “Don’t let out-of-state special interests do to Michigan what they did to Texas.”

Jakarta. Personal care company Kimberly-Clark Softex officially installed photovoltaic panels on their Sidoarjo plant in East Java.
According to Softex Indonesia president director Hendra Setiawan, the solar panel will generate 630 kilowatts of peak energy. The switch to solar panel roofs is also in collaboration with a local renewable energy startup, Xurya Daya. The installation will now replace 887,922 kilowatt-hours of conventional energy use at the plant every year, reducing carbon dioxide production by approximately 829,319 kilograms per year, Hendra said in a recent official statement.
Apple To Use Tesla Battery Packs At California Solar Project
Apple reportedly will use 85 Tesla lithium-ion megapacks for the project.
Apple is constructing grid-scale energy storage project California Flats that will be capable of storing 240 megawatt-hours of energy, enough to power more than 7,000 homes for one day.
The project supports the company s 130-megawatt solar farm that provides all of its renewable energy in California, by storing excess energy generated during the day and deploying it when it is most needed.
Apple said Wednesday that more than 110 of its manufacturing partners around the world are moving to 100 percent renewable energy for their Apple production.
